And now after some thinking, I'd say I'd rather be
A functioning cog in some great machinery serving something beyond me

in a year of some of my favorite bands releasing excellent albums (see DevotchKa, REM, Iron & Wine) this is, for sure, a favorite. i can't remember the last time i sat down to immediately learn the lyrics of a song.
